This Privacy Policy explains how stlucia.studio ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Saint Lucia Services Directory at services.stlucia.studio.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Report submissions: If you report incorrect information using our report form, we collect your report type, description, and optionally your email address.
  • Get Listed submissions: If you request a listing, we collect your business name, contact details, and service information via email.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage analytics: We collect aggregated, anonymised data about page views, search queries, and service category interactions. This data does not identify individuals.
  • WhatsApp click events: We record when a WhatsApp button is clicked (not the content of any resulting conversation) to track listing popularity. This is stored as an aggregate count per listing.
  • Technical data: Standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and referring URL. These are not associated with any personal profile.

2. Cookies

The Directory uses minimal cookies:

  • No advertising cookies. We do not use Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising tracking.
  • No login cookies. The Directory does not require an account and sets no authentication cookies.
  • Session / preference cookies: Small cookies may be set to remember your filter preferences during a browsing session. These expire when you close your browser.

If you access other parts of the stlucia.studio ecosystem (such as talent.stlucia.studio), those properties have their own privacy policies and may use additional cookies.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To display and maintain service listings
  • To review and act on report submissions
  • To respond to listing requests
  • To improve the directory (aggregate analytics only)
  • To detect and prevent abuse

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage

Report submissions are stored in our Supabase database hosted in the United States (AWS US East). Supabase is compliant with GDPR and provides appropriate data protection safeguards. Service listings are stored in static JSON files on our servers.

We retain report submissions for up to 12 months for quality assurance purposes, after which they are deleted.

5. Third-Party Services

When you tap a WhatsApp button, you are directed to WhatsApp (Meta Platforms). WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy applies to any subsequent communication. We do not receive the contents of your WhatsApp messages.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level data handling.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to our use of your data

7. Listed Service Providers

Service provider names, WhatsApp numbers, and contact details listed in the Directory are sourced from publicly available information or direct submissions. If you are a listed provider and wish your information to be removed or updated, contact us at hasan@ibak.app or via the instructions on our About page.

8. Children's Privacy

The Directory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Directory constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
